Search Continues For Missing Man Today

The search for missing Greymouth man Andrew David Lorimer is continuing today. It is focused on sections the Grey River.

The police National Dive Squad have been called in, and is being supported by local surf rescue. They will be checking several areas near where Mr. Lorimer is believed to have entered the water.

On the 20/09/09 an extensive search involving local LandSAR teams, four SAR Dog Handlers, two Inflatable Surf Rescue Boats, a kayak team, Coast Guard Personnel, the Solid Energy Rescue Helicopter, and Police has failed to locate any sign of the missing man.

Police have not ruled out that he may be avoiding police.
