My joy of Bed-knobs and broomsticks was followed today by the disappointment of Alice In Wonderland. Tim Burton’s usually dark writing was ruined by Disney’s choice of music and story line. With the tale not being as dark as his usual material and not as funny as it could have been, it finished as a so-so Disney film with just a subtle Tim Burton-ness about it.
Norwich seemed busy with the usual array of Jack wills, JDSports, Debenhams and New Look cults. Trying to get seated in Nandos was once again a challenge. After just two minutes of eyeing up full tables and long waiting lists we decided to continue our search some place else.
We ended up eating in the oh so uniquely named, Totally Thai, which was surprisingly good. I had a green curry and North chose sticky pork. This left us all feeling incredibly full. The return journey was as lively as the arrival. Our Favourite past-time, The Humming Game, was this time filled with a selection of Garms family winners, such as, Joy Division, The Killers, The Buzzcocks, Mary Poppins, Carl Douglas, The Maccabees and Dolly Parton.
Feeling worn out after such a “busy” day. Time to clean up the mess which has slowly been collecting in the corners of my room.
